Note: The most up-to-date NER calendar is located on the Results Page and is updated automatically whenever RUSA events get added or changed.
* Denote events in which lighting and reflective gear is optional for riders finishing before sundown. NER strongly encourages lighting & reflective gear at all times.
Event details may change; check the event detail page a week before the event and again 1-2 days in advance for possible changes or updates to event.
RUSA Membership: Starting in 2020 a currently-active RUSA Membership is required for entry into all NER Events. To join RUSA or renew your membership, go to RUSA.org. If the $30 for RUSA membership is a financial hardship and would stop you from attending an NER event, please reach out to us.
Season Pass: A Season Pass will be available from Bikereg in the near future. With a Season Pass you can pre-register for all events without additional fees and it saves riders a considerable amount of money and time if they plan to ride more than a few events. RUSA membership is still required.
Pre-Registration: Online pre-registration is required for all events. Please email the NER RBA (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you miss the cut off for online registration — generally the day before the ride at noon. We’ll be able to accommodate you only if the brevet documents have not yet been printed and you’re already a member.
Required Safety Equipment: Bikes are to be equipped with a front headlight(s) and solid rear taillight(s). Riders are to wear a reflective vest or sash and reflective legbands. Full details on the Questions & Answers page.
Alternative Distance Option: Some rides have multiple distance options. Riders may only register for a single distance and will be considered a DNF if they switch distances mid-route.
Cue Sheet: When registering, riders can request a paper cue sheet be printed and given to them at the start or they can print the cue at home a day or two before the ride. We generally have a few extra copies for riders who intended to print themselves but were not able to.
Route Sanctioning: All events sanctioned by RUSA. See the event detail pages for ACP sanctioning.
