It takes a surprising amount of gear to run a fully supported Brevet: tables, chairs, tents, water jugs, bins, serving utensils, and of course food. Keeping all this gear organized can be challenging which is why we are looking for an Equipment Manager for our Boston area (Concord, MA) supplies.
The Equipment Manager would be responsible for visiting our supply shed before and after events and making sure the equipment is clean, organized, and in good working order. Ride leaders will work with the Equipment Manager to make sure they are ready for the event. When equipment becomes worn the Equipment Manager will find suitable replacements. (NER covers all costs.)
The person taking on this role will be helping your fellow riders considerably. This is a great way to be an active volunteer while still having your weekends free to ride the events yourself. You’ll get a free NER membership too. There isn’t much of a time commitment (~1 hour before and after each event) and the schedule will be up to you. The storage shed is in Concord, MA so this is ideal for someone who lives in the Western MA suburbs. The is an NER board member position so you’ll have a say in the future of the organization.
