Come join NER for a special populaire (populaires are any ride between 100-200k). This ride is both NER’s first event of 2022 and also a celebration of International Woman’s Day. RUSA regions across the US will be holding events on this day so while you’re riding with your friends in NER you’ll be symbolically riding with thousands of riders across the globe. Riders of all genders are welcome, as always!

For more information on the international women’s day movement, including commemorative items for purchase and some fun places to share your ride stories on social media, you can visit:

The ride start will be at Sarah’s house (any pre/post ride socializing will be outdoors due to the pandemic, but a bathroom will be available). The address is 186 Woburn St, Medford, MA, 02155 and it is a light green house. Parking on Woburn Street does not require a permit and there should be plenty available.

Please note that current RUSA membership is required for all events — if you haven’t renewed/joined yet for this year, you must do so before the ride.

This is a nice, low key route through scenic northeastern suburban Boston towns. Turnaround control in Ipswich has both speedy gas-station options and multiple cafes to warm up if the weather is cool. Good way to start the season.
