The “Five Hills in New Hampshire” route will depart and return to Jake Kassen’s house in Medford, MA and there will be an after ride hangout at the deck/yard (weather permitting).

This Brevet was first run in the fall of 2018 and is reminiscent of the old Boston 200k to New Boston & Brookline New Hampshire. The route is rolling through the Massachusetts sections with five notable climbs in New Hampshire. The route has approx. ~7000ft of climbing.  For 2025, we are able to incorporate the old New Boston 200k Mason and Brookline NH segments instead of doing Old Milford Rd the hard way (southbound).  There is ~0.9km of hard pack dirt on Starch Mill Rd in Mason that is unavoidable.  Please see RWGPS file for note.

Parking Info: Park on street (either side) or in municipal lot at Governors Ave & High St.  Please do not park in driveway.

Photos from 2018:

The Mt. Vernon General Store has sandwiches and drinks but lack bathroom.
The side of the Hilltop Cafe in Wilton, NH, which is now Abbott Hill Creamery.
Massachusetts scoffs at Vermont’s covered bridges. In Pepperell the covered bridges are newly built and huge.
If you’ve been looking for a Purple Castle, it can be found on this route
The sculpture garden at this mansion (compound?) in Groton continues to grow. Hard to know if they like art of just hate to mow.
Great Brook Farm doing an impression of Iowa in Autumn.
Lots of small roads like this everywhere on this route.
