Qualification Requirements:
To qualify for this event, riders must meet one of the criteria listed below:
• Completion of at least a full SR brevet series previously – 200km, 300km, 400km & 600km. (SR series completion need not be in 2015.)
• Provide evidence of being sufficiently experienced in endurance cycling via communications with the ride leader.
Qualification Notes:
- Qualifying events can be RUSA or ACP brevets, permanents, or foreign events.
- All qualifying events must be completed by June 30, 2015
- Failure to qualify is not a basis for a refund larger than those described in the next section
- If you were not a RUSA member when completing qualification events you will need to email proof of completion. (Photos of certificated brevet cards or links to finisher lists.)

Field Limit: 50 Riders (Volunteer ride participants are not included in the field limit) A waiting list will be established if needed.

Note: Registration does not include transportation back to the start for riders who DNF mid-route. Ride volunteers will not be able to provide this service. Riders must be prepared for finding for their own method of returning to Montpelier if they are unable to complete the event.
Drop Bag Service: One sub-30 pound bag will be transported from the ride start in Montpelier to the sleep stop in Waterville, Maine. Be sure to label your drop bag with your name. Drop bags will be returned to the finish location by Saturday afternoon.
Cancellation/Refunds:
You may cancel your Downeast 1000k entry by notifying us & will receive a full refund if you are on the waiting list, or a partial refund if you are on the Confirmed rider list. (Note: BikeReg fees will not be refunded for anyone.)
Preliminary refund policy for confirmed riders (subject to change):
• Before April 30th: full refund minus $25
• Between May 1st & July 15th: full refund minus $60
• After July 15th: no refund
