Ride Information<\/strong><\/p>\n Start Location:<\/strong> Route description:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Riders will leave Dedham early as they make their way through the south shore to Plymouth, MA.\u00a0 Here the riders will find a number of services for breakfast and visit the famous Plymouth Rock! Afterwards, riders will head south out of Plymouth on Long Pond Rd, skirting Myles Standish State Park (a favorite of Newport 300k and Between the Lakes 200k riders).\u00a0 At mile 56 riders will approach the Sagamore Bridge.\u00a0 For those new to the area, the entrance to the bridge is in the McDonalds\/Shell parking lot (Look on the road for markings!!)\u00a0 Please cross the bridge on the sidewalk and be careful on the bridge, the curb is a solid 8 inches above the road.\u00a0 Legally you are required to walk, and we recommend it.\u00a0 After crossing the bridge, riders will officially be on the Cape!\u00a0 The route turns east toward Sandwich, MA and a Stop and Shop for resupply.\u00a0 Afterwards, the route joins a service road parallel to route 6 and heads towards Barnstable, eventually joining the Cape Cod Rail trail.<\/p>\n Riders should be courteous as many users are on the trail and exercise caution if traveling on the trail at night during the 400k.\u00a0 Riders will pass through the towns of South Dennis, Brewster, and Orleans before reaching its terminus in South Wellfleet. Riders will join route 6 here for 10 miles before exiting just north of Truro.\u00a0 From here, it\u2019s a short ride to Provincetown where services are abundant and 200k riders can take a ferry back to Boston.<\/p>\n
