The collective route is largely the same as the Oh Canada 400k route described below. There is about 3 miles of well-packed dirt road on day one; day two is all paved.

The dual 200k will be a rolling loop ride through Northern Vermont, avoiding all the classic “gap” climbs and generally following 100N up to the Canadian Border and 14S back. The route will be scenic throughout, with long stretches of little traffic, and forgiving in that most of the climbing will be in the first half. Two great routes in one and a first-hand experience of the Oh Canada 400K course. No less, for those who once were inspired by such, there is an easy-to-follow cue sheet.

Riders may want to bring a swimsuit to have on hand if they think a refreshing dip in a “classic” Vermont swimming hole might appeal to them when they get to Troy. The bathing spot is right across from the northernmost control on the 400k and a mile and a half from the campground where we will be staying.

Ride volunteers will transport all the riders’ camping gear and food for the night from the start to the Jay VT, campground.

There will be cooking out options available for riders to prepare their own food. (We encourage riders to coordinate and potluck if desired, but there will be no organized food.) There is a general store and an Inn/Restaurant within walking distance of the campground.

Dawn at Killington

A refreshment for riders across from the lunch spot

Dusk at Woodbury

New Event for 2022!
