Online registration ends at 11:45pm on the Wednesday before the event. Should you miss the cut off you can still join us for the event by filling out the day-of-event registration form<\/a> and bringing it with you to the start 30 minute early. There is a $10 surcharge for DOE registration.<\/p>\n

Description: <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Vermont 400k begins in Montpelier, VT. Riding clockwise we’ll circle the center of our fair state – taking in Montpelier, Randolph, and Woodstock on our way to our ‘halfway’ control at the Coop\u00a0in Putney, VT. Leaving Putney we’ll follow a short section of the Boston 600k route to the Dummerston covered bridge<\/a> and turn north to Grafton and Ludlow. From Ludlow riders follow the scenic VT 100 north through Rochester, Granville Gulf<\/a>, and Waitsfield before returning to the start.<\/p>\n

This route offers rural roads, scenic views, and terrain to test your climbing fitness. Riders should be self supported and prepared for limited services on the return leg – rural Vermont offers wonderful roads to ride – and in some places limited places to find creature comforts. The last ~92 miles offers no open services after 10pm. Riders should stock up at the Ludlow control and plan accordingly. A cache of water will be dropped on the return leg, location announced at the ride start and noted on the cue sheets.<\/p>\n
