The weather prediction was spot on: Mid-90s with strong sun both days. It&#8217;s rare to get weather this hot in New England so this ride proved to be challenging beyond the already hilly course. Riders where smart: Those that had trouble in the heat made the good decision to abandon before getting into serious trouble &#8212; heat stroke is no joke. In the end 15 riders make it back to Concord via bike. Congratulations!<\/p>\n<p>If riders have photos (or links to photo albums) and\/or ride reports, please send me the links. As always, please send us your comments about the event and route. <\/p>\n<p>Thanks for the volunteers who helped: Ted who operated a water stop around the CT boarder and Henry who rode out early Sunday morning to greet the first riders back. And a HUGE THANK YOU to Bruce and Julie MacDonald who graciously gave up their home in Williamstown, MA and hosted the overnight control. For a 2nd year in a row they provided riders with a fantastic dinner and hospitality.
