A quick update about tomorrow’s VT 101k. \u00a0The forecast for tomorrow morning looks good, with partial sun possible, temps in the 50’s & rain showers hopefully holding off until mid-afternoon. \u00a0Certainly should be much better weather than we had on last year’s VT 100k!<\/p>\n
There is one short section of dirt road along the course which is about 1 mile in length. \u00a0I just rode it & even with this morning’s rain it is in fairly good shape. \u00a0There is a very short section of small gravel, some small ruts & puddles. \u00a0The conditions of dirt roads can change day-to-day but it should be fine for tomorrow. \u00a0Again it’s very short & should be fine on any bike, with any size tire, just take it slow through any gravel. \u00a0The rest of the route is on paved roads. \u00a0It’s been a rough winter so there will be sections of rough pavement, with bumps, cracks & potholes possible.<\/p>\n
Pre-registration is open for another hour or so. \u00a0Or you can show up tomorrow morning for day of event registration, just don’t forget to bring an extra $5 for the day of event surcharge. \u00a0Please note that parking is not available at the ride start. \u00a0Free on-street parking is located outside of the city center or the park & ride is nearby. \u00a0Look forward to hopefully seeing you on tomorrow’s ride!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
